These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and ScribeZero ("we", "our", "the app") governing your access to and use of the ScribeZero iOS application.
By downloading, installing, or using ScribeZero, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, do not download or use the app.

ScribeZero is a documentation and note-taking assistance tool. It is not a medical device as defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medical Devices Regulation (EU MDR), or any other regulatory body. ScribeZero has not been reviewed or approved by any health authority.
ScribeZero does not diagnose conditions, interpret clinical findings, assess patient risk, or make treatment recommendations. AI-generated output (including SOAP notes, clinical observations, and session summaries) is a documentation aid based on transcribed speech. It reflects what was said — not a clinical assessment of its meaning or implications.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of ScribeZero complies with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to HIPAA (United States), GDPR (European Union), PIPEDA (Canada), and applicable state or local recording consent laws. We make no warranties regarding the app's fitness for use in any specific regulatory environment.
ScribeZero offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited AI intelligence, advanced PDF exports, and premium features. Feature availability in each tier is subject to change at our discretion with notice.
Pro subscriptions are offered on weekly, monthly, annual, and lifetime bases. Recurring subscriptions (weekly, monthly, annual) automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. ScribeZero does not collect or store payment information. Subscription prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may vary by region due to local taxes and App Store pricing tiers.
Where offered, free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before expiry. You will not be charged during the trial period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → ScribeZero. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then. Refunds are governed by Apple's App Store refund policies. ScribeZero does not independently issue refunds.
A lifetime purchase grants access to Pro features as they exist at the time of purchase and future updates, for as long as ScribeZero is available as an app. A lifetime purchase does not guarantee access in perpetuity in the event that ScribeZero is discontinued.
ScribeZero, including its source code, interface design, AI model integrations, brand identity, and all associated content, is the exclusive intellectual property of ScribeZero and its licensors. These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
Your content is yours. Recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated content created using ScribeZero belong to you. We claim no ownership over the content you create. Because all content is stored locally on your device, we have no practical access to it.
The third-party AI models integrated into ScribeZero (including Whisper and open-weight LLM models) are licensed under their respective open-source licenses. ScribeZero does not claim ownership of these models.
You agree to use ScribeZero only for lawful purposes. You must not use the app to:
Recording consent laws vary significantly by jurisdiction. In many regions, recording a conversation requires the consent of all parties. You are solely responsible for complying with applicable recording consent laws in your jurisdiction.
ScribeZero is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including:
AI transcription and summarization are inherently imperfect. Transcripts may contain errors. AI-generated summaries and clinical notes are assistive tools, not authoritative records. Always review AI-generated content before relying on it.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScribeZero and its developers, officers, and licensors shall not be liable for:
In jurisdictions that do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of ScribeZero at any time. We will endeavor to provide reasonable notice of material changes through the app or App Store update notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We may revise these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users through the app. Your continued use of ScribeZero after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScribeZero is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of ScribeZero shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section limits your rights as a consumer under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ScribeZero regarding the app and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
